Action > RateF

Evaluates the load rating factor for the structure. This action is currently only applicable for steel and composite steel structures and requires that the resistance has been calculated in advance using the action UltRes.

The rating factor is evaluated as RF = [C - A1*D] / [A2*L*(1+I)]
SettingDescription
Action Code of the selected Action. It is possible to switch to another action without leaving and re-entering the input function.
Action will be skipped (Option) The action will be skipped in the calculation process if the option is selected.
Input-1 > Dead load superposition (D) Name of the superposition file where the dead load to be considered for the load rating is stored.
Input-1 > Live load superposition (L) Name of the superposition file where the live load to be considered for the load rating is stored.
Input-2 > Capacity (C) Result name containing the resistance of the structure as to be evaluated in advance with the action UltRes (Output-1 > Result name)
Input-3 > Factor dead load (A1) Factor to be considered for the dead load
Input-3 > Factor live load (A2) Factor to be considered for the live load
Input-3 > Impact factor (I) Impact factor (Dynamic load allowance) Note: If the dynamic load allowance is already considered and incorporated in the live load evaluation (i.e. Input 1 > Live Load Superposition), this factor needs to be set to 0 (=default value), see also formula above.
Output-1 > Result name

Name of the result where the calculated load rating factors are stored.

It can be viewed and specified as plot, list or Excel file in the tab "Miscellaneous" in RM-Sets.

Output-2 > List file

Name of the list file for presenting the results of the load rating evaluation. Save the output with desired name as List (*.lst) or Excel (*xls) format.
